Over the last few years, the amount of video content on the internet has been sparked off. The reason behind this is the introduction of video sharing services like YouTube and Vimeo. Since a video is the quickest way for receiving a message, the more and more people look forward to the sites that contain video content.
The videos also perk up a blog’s ranking in the search engine therefore the webmasters are considering the significance of having multimedia content on their site.
Like other blogging applications such as Blogger, Tumbler and Typepad, the WordPress also allows its users to post videos to their web logs. It is a pretty easy and simple process; just follow the step-by-step guide given below.

If your video is already hosted somewhere just open the video in web browser and copy its URL for adding videos to wordpress.
Click on the “Add Video” button in the edit box. Set the desired location for video in post with your mouse and click “Filmstrip” icon. Click “Select Files” to browse a video from your machine. If you want to add a video that is already online, click “From URL” and paste its web address inside the “Video URL” field.
